چکیده
Aim To evaluate the flow, pH and calcium release of white MTA (WMTA), salicylate-based resin root canal sealer (Sealapex; SEAL) SEAL containing 10 (SE10) or 20% (SE20) (w/w) MTA. Methodology Flow test was realized according to ISO 6876 specification. The sealers samples (n= 10) were placed in polyethylene tubes immersed deionized water. After 24 hours 7, 14, 28 days, water determined with a meter, assessed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Results WMTA showed respectively highest lowest flow rate when compared other materials (P<0.05). SE20 value only 24h 7 days periods (p<0.05). In 14- 28-days periods, (p<0.05), but there are no differences between groups (p>0.05). all Conclusions proves be an association better handling than WMTA, satisfactory potential for alkalinization release.

A Comparative Investigation of Marginal Adaptation and Surface Defects of MTA and Root MTA as Two Root End Filling Materials
Introduction: This study was carried out to compare two retrograde filling materials entitled mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Root MTA (RMTA) in regard to their marginal adaptation and surface defects. Method: In this study twenty extracted human teeth were used. In all teeth after cleaning and shaping, the root canals were obturated by gutta-percha and root canal sealer. After that in eac...
متن کاملMTA-Based Root Canal Sealers
Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) has been recommended for pulp capping, pulpotomy, apical barrier formation in teeth with open apexes, repair of root perforation and root canal obturation. Since, its introduction in 1993 by Torabinejad numerous studies have been published regarding various aspects of this material. The aim of this review was to consider MTA as root canal sealer and various labo...
متن کاملDelayed tooth replantation: MTA as root canal filling.
MTA has been investigated as a root-end filling material. Its mechanism of action has some similarities to that of Ca(OH)2. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the repair process taking place in the delayed replantation of monkey teeth using calcium hydroxide and MTA as root canal filling materials. Five monkeys had their lateral incisors extracted and bench-dried for 60 minutes. After ro...
متن کاملBiocompatibility of a new epoxy resin-based root canal sealer in subcutaneous tissue of rat
OBJECTIVE The objective was to evaluate the subcutaneous biocompatibility of two root canal sealers. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty female rats were distributed into two groups of 15 animals. Each received subcutaneous dorsal implants: Silicone tubes filled with AH Plus or Obtuseal. After the 11(th), 14(th), and 45(th) days, tissues were collected for biopsy and fixed and processed for histolog...
متن کاملInfluence of radiopaque fillers on physicochemical properties of a model epoxy resin-based root canal sealer
OBJECTIVE To verify the influence of radiopaque fillers on an epoxy resin-based sealer. MATERIAL AND METHODS Experimental sealers were formulated by adding 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% and 120% of calcium tungstate, ytterbium trifluoride or barium sulphate by weight to an epoxy-resin-base. Setting time, flow, film thickness, radiopacity, sorption, solubility, pH and push-out bond strength were ev...
